Temporary/Part time Finance Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to work within the Finance Department for 2 months.

The position will require a person who will play a key role in supporting the Finance function of the business.

The Finance Assistant is responsible for the entering and accuracy of Wirquin’s financial records.

The ideal applicant will have the relevant experience in a similar environment.

The main duties:-

  • Controlling the Purchase and Sales Ledger and ensuring that all documents are recorded correctly.
  • Ensuring all supplier statements are reconciled and differences resolved.
  • Ensuring Invoice authorisation policy is followed
  • Ensuring Employee expenses are correctly recorded
  • Monitoring and assessing customer accounts and credit limits
  • Releasing /holding customer orders
  • Cash input and allocation/reconciliation of Bank Statements
  • Logging invoice queries and raising credits
  • Reporting Aged Debt Accounts
  • Working to monthly Deadlines
  • Banking and Sales Ledger updates
  • Collection of overdue accounts via telephone, letter and email
  • Accessing online banking and printing daily statements for BACS payments
